The lottery for Boundary Waters permits started on December 1st and goes until January 15th. For all the early trip planners who know what date and entry point they want, it’s the earliest way of trying to secure a permit. Call 1-800-223-6565 or email Bert or Drew to plan a great route and have us get your name into the lottery.
Piragis Northwoods Outfitting was a wide array of canoes to choose from. Many models from Wenonah and Bell are available so you can paddle a different design each year if desired. But, please keep in mind that for some models, we only have a few in the rental fleet. Reserve a specific canoe early. That way you know you have the canoe that you have wanted to paddle. How about the ultra-light Kevlar lay-up of an Escape or Spirit II or NEW for 2008, a graphite lay-up of the Minnesota II or Prism. We also rent the Bell Seliga that has been a proven tripper for years. Plus we have three and four-man canoes. Our rental canoe list is on our website or just call us to find out what we have and place your reservation.
Quetico permits can be reserved 5 months in advance. That means we can call for May permits in December, June in January, etc. Please don’t wait too long to get your Quetico trip planned. The 5 month date is very important to keep in mind so that there are no problems getting your trip off the ground.
We still have a nice selection of used gear from the past year. Our list can be found at http://www.piragis.com/usedcampinggearsale2007.html. Feel free to call/email Drew or Bert and we’ll be happy to help you out. This gear is only used one or two seasons and then let go. We constantly turn our rental gear over so you only get the newest and best gear out there. This translates into our used equipment being a great buy. You won’t find used gear in better shape!!

CLASSIC OLD TOWN GUIDE FOR SALE
This 16 foot guide was built in 1967 and was fully restored to show room condition this past summer by our friend and local craftsman, Doug Nelson from Virginia, Minnesota.
