The best paddling rec boat ever made, it's incredibly maneuverable and rock solid stable. And at a jaw dropping weight of only 32 pounds, anybody can throw it around with ease. Comfortable enough to use for exercise while providing a reliable platform from which to fish, take photos, observe wildlife or simply enjoy a relaxing jaunt. Short trips are enhanced by its generous cockpit for ease of entry and exit. Gear has a place in the Kestrel's surprisingly large rear hatch. Our Kestrels come fully outfitted with reflective perimeter lines, restrained toggles, recessed paddle parks, rear hatch and bulkhead, and complete fore and aft deck rigging with paddle float rescue capability. The recessed round hatch has a rigid cover for a smooth deckline to reduce spray. Rudder is optional. Compared to the Kestrel 120, the Kestrel 140 trades a little bit of maneuvering for even more efficiency, better tracking, and more stability. It also has enough storage to hold all the gear and tackle a float fisherman may need. Flattened side decks allow for easy rod holder mounting and because it's made of polyethylene, it'll stand up to the shallow rocky river strectches without worry. Rudder is optional. As with the solo models, the Double Vision is constructed from a vacuum bagged composite of aramid and fiberglass, which allows for an unsurpassed combination of light weight, stiffness, toughness and value.
Gulfstream Fiberglass: 51 lbs, $3199.00, Kevlar: 47 lbs, $3599.00 The Gulfstream's forward and stern hatches give ample storage space and a watertight seal. The forward hatch is 9 1/2" diameter, and the oval stern hatch is 11" x 16 1/2". The day hatch is 8" diameter and is within arm's reach of the paddler. A third bulkhead behind the day hatch makes this compartment self contained.
When paddling the Storm you will immediately feel comfortable with its stability. The Storm has been used on many extensive trips with great success. The rugged polyethylene construction gives it a unique combination of strength, stiffness, and impact resistance. The Storm's recessed deck fittings accommodate a very clean deck rigging system with full perimeter deck lines. Rugged, stable and a great performer -- the Storm raises the bar for rotomolded kayaks.
The Squall carries enough gear for long trips and still performs well as a day tripper. At 22" wide and 16'6" long, this quick little polyethylene kayak is zippy and fun. The Shallow "V" hull gives a lively feel, yet a strong sense of security when leaned over on its side. The 29 1/2" long cockpit allows good contact with the boat and superb control. This fine sistership to the Storm is appropriately named Squall (a small storm). If you want a performance touring kayak with extreme durability the Squall is for you.
